As you can see, when it comes to billboards, 28% of New York State residents visited a local business (e.g. restaurant) because it was advertised on a billboard and 19% of California respondents said they made a purchase at the business advertised. Those are useful data points that can be used to educate advertisers about the exact locations where billboards will likely be most effective.
Attitudes are different than actions, but there is significant cross-over effect with billboards.
